An ancient Indian wheat, botanically Triticum sphaerococcum, also known as Paigambari. It is a different species from khapli or emmer, which are often confused with it. SatRas mills it whole, bran and germ intact, and the nutrition panel is verified by an NABL-accredited laboratory.
Per 100 g the laboratory panel shows 365 kcal, 10.6 g protein, 4.31 mg iron, 4.13 mg zinc, 26.2 mg calcium and 299.8 mg potassium, with 1.05 g fat. The zinc figure is the one that stands out against ordinary atta. Verified by an NABL-accredited laboratory.
Fortified flours add iron and folic acid after milling. Sona Moti carries its micronutrients naturally: per 100 g the panel shows 4.31 mg iron, 4.13 mg zinc, 10.6 g protein and 299.8 mg potassium. Nothing is sprayed on, and no maida or filler is blended in.
It is milled for everyday rotis, parathas and Indian breads. Because it is milled fresh after ordering rather than stored in bulk, the flour reaches you closer to milling than warehouse stock does. Store it in an airtight container and use it within the season it was milled.
The 5 kg pack is Rs 915, which works out at Rs 183 per kg. Delivery is free on orders above Rs 500, so a single pack ships at no extra cost anywhere in India. The price shown on the product page is always the current one.
