About SatRas

SatRas means true essence, from Sat and Ras. It is a nutrition-first Indian staples brand built on one idea: that what is in a food is decided long before it reaches a factory. So SatRas starts at the seed, presses and mills in its own unit in Haryana, and publishes what the laboratory finds.

The Seed

Our high oleic mustard oil is pressed from Raya Hisar 1706, a variety developed by scientists at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University and grown on SatRas farms in Hisar. Our black mustard oil is pressed from seed sourced directly from farmers in Rajasthan and Haryana. We name which is which, because the difference matters.

The Mill

We press in our own manufacturing unit, in a wooden kolhu built around an imli wood core. It turns roughly five times slower than a conventional expeller and works at low temperature, which limits nutrient degradation. The oil is left unrefined and unbleached. No chemical solvents, no deodorising agents.

The Packing

Glass and tin only. We have removed plastic pipelines from our own factory, so the oil does not touch plastic between the press and the bottle.

The Proof

Every batch is third-party tested and FSSAI compliant. The fatty acid report for our high oleic oil is published on its product page, and the Sona Moti atta panel is verified by a laboratory accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

The Garden Range

The same thinking, for soil. Nutrition starts in the ground, so we make inputs for it too: neem seed powder, sarso khali mustard cake, wood ash and a plant growth promoter, for home and terrace gardens. Each pack holds one material rather than a blend, so a gardener knows exactly what is going into their soil.
