SatRas High Oleic Mustard Oil is crafted from the specially cultivated Raya Hisar 1706 mustard seed variety, developed by Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU). Grown on SatRas farms in Hisar and extracted using traditional wooden kolhu (kachi ghani) methods, this oil combines agricultural innovation with time-honoured processing. Naturally characterized by elevated oleic acid and reduced erucic acid levels, this oil measures 25.75 g of oleic acid per 100 g. Oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat (omega-9), is known for its role in supporting a balanced fatty acid profile and improving oxidative stability during cooking. Cold-pressed, unrefined, and pressed without chemical solvents, third party lab tested and FSSAI approved, it retains its natural MUFA profile, omega-3 & 6 balance, vitamin E, and antioxidants—delivering a modern mustard oil experience with improved heat performance and everyday versatility.

The Traditional Oil Indian Bodies Are Made For

Perfect Omega Balance

Mustard oil has the ideal Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio, which our bodies evolved eating. Modern refined oils disrupt this natural balance.

Heart Health Powerhouse

Contains 60.2 g of monounsaturated fat per 100 g, with 25.75 g of oleic acid.

High Smoke Point (250°C)

Mustard oil's high smoke point makes it perfect for high-heat cooking, unlike olive oil, which burns at Indian cooking temperatures.

Natural Anti-Microbial Properties

Contains allyl isothiocyanate, a natural preservative that aids digestion and is why our grand- mothers used it in pickles.

Built for Indian Cooking

Refined oils are suited for Western cooking; mustard oil is made for Indian cooking-high heat, deep frying, and rich gravies.

F.A.Q.

The seed it starts from. This oil is pressed from Raya Hisar 1706, a mustard variety developed by CCSHAU and grown on SatRas farms in Hisar, Haryana. The published panel shows 25.8 g oleic acid and 60.2 g monounsaturated fat per 100 g, measured in a laboratory rather than asserted on the label.

25.8 g per 100 g, sitting inside 60.2 g of total monounsaturated fat, with 7.8 g saturated fat and 5.7 g omega-3 ALA. Ordinary mustard oil generally carries roughly 12 to 15 g oleic acid, so this variety runs close to double. The full fatty acid report is published on the page.

It is built for high-heat cooking. Raised oleic content improves the oil's resistance to oxidation while it cooks, which is why SatRas positions this one for deep frying, sauteing and daily tadka. It stays unrefined and unbleached, so nothing is stripped out to achieve that stability.

No, it is noticeably milder. SatRas describes a moderate, balanced mustard character rather than a sharp one, which suits everyday cooking and fusion dishes. If you want the pungent bite for pickles, sarson ka saag or a loud tadka, the black mustard oil is the one built for that.

Best before is 9 months from packaging, stored in a dry place away from heat and light. It ships in a microplastic-free tin with an easy-pour cap. Keep the cap closed and the tin off the counter beside the stove, because heat and light are what age an unrefined oil fastest.
